Living in The Richmond Neighborhood

Richmond is an attractive section of town of restored homes and streets lined with mature trees. The area is a grid of alternating residential blocks and commercial streets, offering an amazing balance of the best of Old Portland architecture and easy access to both the popular gathering spots, Hawthorne and Division districts. The Richmond neighborhood is bisected with SE Cesar Chavez Blvd (39th Ave) which connects you easily to the north/south neighboring areas of Hawthorne, and Creston.

Stumptown Coffee Roasters original location opened in the fall of 1999 on Division Street. It is the store that started a coffee revolution in Portland. This is still where they roast many of their coffees and frequently host other events.
