Oregon City is located approximately 13 miles south of Portland where the Willamette and Clackamas Rivers meet. The public schools in Oregon City are supported by the Oregon City School District with several schools ranking average and above according to Greatschools.org. Springwater Environmental Sciences School and Oregon City High School were both given a rating of 8/10, John Mcloughlin Elementary School rated 7/10 and Alliance Charter Academy and Redland Elementary School rated 6/10, Holcomb Elementary and Gardiner Middle School rated 5/10. Unfortunately, Ogden Middle School, Clackamas Academy of Industrial Sciences, Gaffney Lane Elementary School and others rated 4 or below. The student to teacher ratio at most of the schools is slighter higher than the average in the state at around 25 students to 1 teacher.

Park Place is an upcoming neighborhood in the northeastern area of Oregon City with a lot of new construction and even more land to build. Rivercrest is in the center of Oregon City with quick access to pretty much everything. South End, known for its rural character, has various streams, wetlands, parks and protected wildlife. Two Rivers is a neighborhood in Oregon City that mostly consists of commercial and business properties. Oregon City has several excellent, affordable neighborhoods to choose from.
