The Cathedral Park neighborhood is along the Willamette River in North Portland next to the St Johns Bridge. Cathedral Park has an almost rural feeling to it with historic homes on large fields. The neighborhood takes its name from the cathedral-like towers of the majestic 80-year-old bridge, which can be seen from some well-situated homes. Many lump Cathedral Park with the St. Johns neighborhoods, as both share the same lifestyle, amenities and parks.
The public park underneath the bridge on the is a lovely community amenity in a beautiful setting. It includes picnic tables, a boat dock and ramp, an off-leash area, paved paths, and stage for summer concerts. University of Portland’s historic campus is a nearby community asset.
