    We in the Real Estate Industry often hear from homeowners that they feel they can get more money for their home by selling it unrepresented or without a broker. However, the National Association of Realtors states the average “for sale by owner” brings in 10-15% less than the average retail seller who works with a professional broker.

    I understand that there are circumstances from time to time that might not merit a broker, like selling the home to a family member or neighbor. We don’t help write-up listing contracts or services to individuals who are selling unrepresented.

    Because at the end of the day, we will get you more money. Period.

    We will however represent buyers who are wanting to purchase a home that is for sale by owner. In negotiating the sale on the buyer’s behalf, we are adding tremendous value to the buyer and their transaction. For sale by owner’s traditionally do not have professional real estate experience, but are doing it to try and save on commission fees. By negotiating on the Buyer’s behalf we are typically able to get the buyer the best deal from the sale of the home.

    If you are considering going “for sale by owner” I would strongly suggest you at least speak to a broker like myself. Because at the end of the day, we will get you more money. Period. Furthermore, you’ll be protected from any liability that may arise during disclosures, negotiations and closing.
