Commonwealth lake is a deep and beautiful vista right in the heart of Beaverton. Cedar Hills surrounds the park, keeping it a well kept secret of the neighborhood. Those of us who know of this park, have many experiences of spending time here.
- The park is immaculately maintained by Tualatin Parks and Recreation. It is a fishermen’s paradise being stocked annually with plenty of trout. And of course, it is right in the city, a 7 min. drive to downtown Portland.
The park features a .8 mile path around the lake, a full sports court with baseball field, basketball, playground, soccer field, and most importantly: DUCKS! There are hundereds of the little guys all over the park with geese to boot! Tualatin Hills park and rec has created safe havens around the lake to protect our favorite birds, and football team ; ) , from the growth in area.
Cedar Hills Real Estate surrounds the park on all sides. Many homes back up to the park, and there is a walk path, with a large field and basketball court that run along Lanewood st. and Foothills rd. Many people come to picnic here during the summer, but the homes are well protected with established trees and landscaping giving plenty of privacy to homeowners and park enthusiasts alike.
Beaverton Real Estate is truly blessed to have such a beautiful neighborhood right in their backyard. Cedar Hills is just a 1/4 mile from the highway 26 exit, and 1/2 mile from highway 217.
If you get a chance, I highly recommend visiting the lake and looking at some of the new listings below, now hot on the market !
